It's sad to realize it's been a year since Fish passed.  Time stops for no one, but I marked my calendar last year, and realized this weekend would be a year since we lost a great man and friend.  Ed almost always answered my call for help.  He played such a crucial role in helping me be a better truck salesman.  His commitment to helping others has motivated me to be more like he was.  A servant first.  Fish, you are sorely missed.  

So sorry to have just found out about Ed. A true friend from our UD days.and later years. Always positive and fun to be around. My family will miss you. Rest in peace my friend.

To call Ed "brother" is not sufficient, but "Big Brother" is exactly what he was to me.  That and so much more.  When I came on with Isuzu Finance,  Ed immediately took me in as "one of his own"  & made sure that I was shielded from the inevitable knife attacks our business somehow requires.  And I always had his back because there was no doubt he always had mine.  One of the most profoundly proud moments I've had was when Ed was named the Top District Manager for Isuzu Finance performance and I will never forget how genuinely appreciative he was - even though he had won probably hundreds of "#1 for this, #1 for that" awards - Ed was sincerely thankful that he & I were "partners" in making it happen.  I delighted in our phone calls, dealer visits, & meetings together.   I already miss him so much.  Just doesn't seem right that we're not talking about where each other is at, when & whether we're going to be together this week or next.  But Bob Mathews said it best;  I know I'll see him again - 'cause God don't make no junk! - and I know Ed's up there right now giving them all a lesson in how to 'spec a truck!  RIP my faithful & dear Brother

I had the privilege of working with Fish for nearly 5 years, the last 3 of which as his district partner.   We spent a lot of time together over those 3 years and I became the latest in a line of "little brothers".  He would always ask how my daughters were doing -  his "nieces" as he called them - and was quick to share memories of his kids at that age.   I will always remember Fish for his work ethic, willingness to provide any information he could, impart wisdom, give advice, and share past experiences to help me and others learn and grow in the company.   I would love to have one more phone call start with "Next" end with "say goodbye".   Instead, we all do our best to carry on his legacy.  Goodbye, Fish.  You will be dearly missed. 

Chris, Todd, Larry and I are so sorry, Tyler and Stefanie. Ed was more than just our next door neighbor. He was Todd's "Uncle Ed". He was the man who taught Todd to tie his shoes, how to dive into the pool and riding with the top down in the vette (with a booster seat). He was a fixture on our Sunday dinners with Cocoa and the best pet babysitter. He's the one that taught Jagr how to drink coffee. We will miss his laugh and just his presence. We love Ed and we will miss him terribly. 

I worked with Ed for almost 20 years.  18 of those years and to his passing, I was Ed's immediate supervisor.  For all of us that knew and loved him, you can imagine the challenge of managing such a unique and fun-loving spirit.  He's only been gone a week, but every day since, has felt like a huge part of my daily life is missing. Ed was a great ambassador of Isuzu Trucks, for both our dealers and our customers.  He was a true professional and worked tirelessly to excel in his profession.  Ed would volunteer to assist with any project and he truly enjoyed contributing.  He loved his family, all dogs, classic cars, and his job.  Ed never met a stranger.  He truly worked 24-7 to get the job done.  I'll always miss his calls - "Good Time? Bad Time?"  It can say it was 100% "Good Time" when you were dealing with Ed Fischer.  Rest in peace brother Ed.

As I was driving to the dealership, Thursday August 29th, I received a call asking if I had heard from Fish.   Apparently no one had been able to reach him for several hours.  It was not like him not  to return a call.   We all  were  thinking the worst, 
 unfortunately, it was.  However I was fortunate enough to see  my good friend Saturday just  days before he passed.   Apparently he just decided out of the blue to drive by the dealership.  I believe wholeheartedly him driving by was his way of saying good-bye.   We all of course know how Fish was about going to the doctor.  He always said he was fine. I had a bad feeling as he pulled out of the parking lot.  I look back now and thank God for that Saturday and the last time we spent together.    When you meet Fish for the first time its a thrill.  When you have known him a long time its an honor.   I will miss all the great times we had together.  And lastly brother to brother, as he always said.  I love you, Fish.  Rest In Peace my good friend, I will never forget you. 

"Magic, I've known you longer than anyone at Isuzu" was a comment Fisch made to me about a month ago and prompted this memory to share.  
25 years ago, we were both "younger" transportation professionals.  He worked for UD Trucks and I for GE Capital.  I didn't know we shared a common customer when I visited Lynn Medlin's UD dealership in Charlotte, NC where the factory rep was there to promote his product.  Now up to that point in my life I felt like I'd seen some things, done somethings and met some interesting people... WOW! Fisch was unforgettable, larger than life and expanded my experiences in life category ten-fold.  We later went on to work together for Isuzu Commercial Trucks where we ran many miles "18" behind the windshield".  I loved him as my brother, wouldn't change a thing about our friendship  and will miss him dearly!

I had the pleasure of working with Ed for the last few years. It never mattered what type of day I may have been experiencing, when Ed would come through the door my day would always seem much brighter. He just had a way of making me smile.  I will greatly miss my friend. I know he is in a better place but he sure left an empty space down here! Ed, you will always be one of my life’s treasured memories. 

Such a terrible loss. Ed was the best neighbor anyone could have. 
We met Ed before moving in, and were welcomed by him as if he were a longtime friend. He offered assistance of anything we may need, if needed. 
We had the pleasure of introducing our newly adopted dogs to Ed, which then he told us about his love for his past labradors and plans to adopt again when he retired.
Since his passing, we have felt a terrible loss and sadness. Every day of seeing Ed was a blessing, and now it's such an overwhelming feeling of emptiness when we look out over his drive, whether it be window, coming or going. 
We have instantly missed him very much, with aching hearts and tears of sadness. Our thoughts and prayers are with his soul and loved ones. 
May our Lord be with Ed now, in everlasting glory and comfort.

My Husband Craig & I met Ed at The Augusta, GA Isuzu Dealership, at the time we were raising Golden retrievers which we immediately found out Ed had a Golden which he adored. Every time Ed would visit we had to talk about the "Puppies", and then after his Golden Pasted away , it was the Grand Dawg's (lol)  we talked about , and even up until his last day we talked about the Dawg's....R.I.P ED you will be truly MISSED!

I have worked with Ed for the past 3 and a half years with the same company. Even though I didn’t see him every day, when I did see him he’d make me feel like I’d known him my entire life. He’d smile and say “Hey!, big guy!” and tell me what a great group of people I had to work with. We’d talk about Pennsylvania and he’d always ask how my family was doing. Ed was truly a good guy. I’ll miss seeing him at the National meeting next year. Thanks for your kindness Ed, Rest In Peace.

Sugarberry Place just got painfully lonely.  I'll never see another yellow Vette without thinking of him.  My one regret is that I didn't meet him decades ago.  RIP Brother.

As the sales manager of a truck dealership I worked with "Fish" for several years. He was a joy to work with and over the years we became pretty good friends. We both shared a love for Harleys and Corvettes and could talk about them for hours. He will be sadly missed.

Of all things to being sent to my friend Ed, We talked from time to time about dogs and of course trucks. But one time I was eating a leftover chicken wings and he told me loved chicken wings. I mean loved them !!!!  So I told him I had found the best wings on the planet in Chattanooga and he wanted to know where they were. He didn't live too far from the honey hole and would go there. Just one problem, I couldn't remember the name of the place. Well two weeks ago I found the place and was going to pass on the info to him. Alas , I am too damn late.  Weird story I know, but Ed was a real person, no fluff, just a genuine person that would help you in anyway he could, And did , many times for me. I will miss him and the next time in in Chattanooga which I go to or through many times in the year, I will hoist a Award winning wing from 1885 Grill.  RIP Edward.

I was blessed to work with Ed for just over a year.   We talked almost every day.  He was my biggest cheerleader and sounding board.  He always went to bat for me, and had my back when I needed him.  He always said, “Tell them you’re one of Fish’s kids” if I ever had to call California.  My greatest regret is he won’t make the trip to SEMA this year.  I was so happy to give something back to him after all he had done for me.  It was a bucket list thing for him, but we aren’t able to make it now.  I miss him terribly,  and I will never forget him.  

While we all have lost a great friend, Heaven has gained another Son. I’m really going to miss my buddy ‘Fish’. The first thing he would ask me when we spoke to each other on the phone is “what part of the world are you in today” we would joke about our travels and then get down to business... He loved the Isuzu family as I do, and together we always found a way to put the deal together... he would say” let me call California and work some magic”
   We also had a lot of “ Brother to Brother “ talk too.
We often  would get into some deep conversation about the spiritual side of Life and I know he was a believer in Jesus Christ. This gives me a peace inside to know that we will meet again one day!!!!!

Ed was one of those people that could always put a smile on your face. I worked with him for many years and would talk with him on the phone. He will be truly missed. Love you bud Michelle with 2 L’s. He would always say that. I am going to really miss hearing that voice. 

Ed was a special man. We loved him coming to the Cleaners and bringing his dogs . Sometimes he would would just sit and talk with us . All the girls are gonna miss him. We are so sorry for your loss.
