

Mr. Elbert "Kenny" Kennith Freeman, Jr., 65, of Ellijay, GA passed away peacefully on Friday, January 31, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Kenny was born in Meridian, Mississippi on April 30, 1954 to the late Mr. Elbert Kennith Freeman, Sr. and Mrs. Bertha Freeman Young.
Kenny had a career in sheet metal, working first for Damar before becoming part owner of Sheet Metal Components Inc. of Cartersville, GA. He enjoyed making pottery with his late wife, Gail. Kenny's other interests include rock tumbling, traveling, and woodworking. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Kenny is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Toni Gail Thaxton Freeman, and his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Joyce (Kermit) Carson, very special sister-in-law, Sherrell (Rodney) Wolfinger, very special friend, William (Lillian) Evans. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive to cherish Kenny's memory.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at four o'clock in the afternoon with the Rev. Roger Lanter officiating. Interment will follow on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at two o'clock Eastern Time at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Phenix City, AL.
The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from two o'clock in the afternoon until the service hour at four.
