

Mr. Howard was born July 7, 1924 in Bartow County, the son of the late, John William Howard and Georgia Dudley Howard, was retired , was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in World War ll and was a member of Cassville Baptist Church.
H e was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Laura Howard, his second wife, Marie Bramlett and four brothers, Chester, Sterling, James and Edgar Howard.
Surviving are his children, Jimmy Donald Howard, Gene Howard and Liz Howard Dempsey all of Cartersville, stepdaughter and caregiver, Laverne Hardin and her husband, Dewey of Adairsville, grandchildren, Jay Dempsey, Wesley Howard, Michael Howard, Tina Evans and Shawn Howard, step-grandchildren, Donna and Junior Ramsey and Darin and Julie Hardin, four great grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren, his sister, Ethel Waits of Cartersville and a several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Somers and Rev. Ronnie Howard officiating.
Burial will follow at 12:30 P.M. in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and evening from 3:00-9:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cassville Baptist Church Building Fund.
