

Emerita Sofia Nader de Moises, daughter of Lebanese parents Mario Nader and Sofia Nader was born in Colombia, South America on February 3, 1936. She passed away in Taylorsville, GA at the age of 86 surrounded by her loving children on January 4, 2023.
Emerita is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Eduardo Moises and her daughter, Raquel Moises, and she is survived by her children, Zamira Rasper, Eduardo Moises, William Moises, and Sergio Moises and her grandchildren Ana Karina Moises Stanley, Andrea Carolina Moises, William Eduardo Moises and Angelina Sofia Moises.
Emerita and her husband were very involved with the Lions club, of which he served as president for many years and were also founding members of the Campestre Club which is a social club for Lebanese decedents in the country of Colombia. They were pillars in their community and dedicated their lives to helping the less fortunate.
She was a strong woman with high moral values and integrity. She was full of wisdom. Her faith in God gave her the courage to overcome any obstacle she had to face. She was a wonderful and inspiring artist and poet. She loved her family unconditionally and everyone around her felt her love and how special she was. Emerita was compassionate, generous, and kind. She will be missed by anyone who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 8, 2023, from 12 until 3 PM in the Owen Funeral home. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 3 PM in the chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Andy Stanley officiating.
