

Mrs. Fae Juanita Cline, 78, of Cartersville, GA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 17, 2019. Fae was born January 31, 1941 in Cartersville, GA to the late Mr. J.C. Cline and Mrs. Ethel Herrin Cline.
Fae lived an extraordinary life growing up in Cartersville and graduating from Cartersville High School in the Class of 1959. She worked for many years in the newspaper industry and wrote many articles and weekly columns for the Cartersville Daily Tribune. During her career, she interviewed many notable people such as President Jimmy Carter, Governor Joe Frank Harris, actress, Cicely Tyson, Johnny Cash and actor, Paul Newman. Fae also worked for Lockheed Georgia for twelve years where she served as an administrative assistant in the contract division.
She loved music and the arts and was a gifted, published author who was awarded the Golden Poet Award in both 1989 and 1990. She was a true artist and won many awards in both acrylic and oil paintings and received several pageant honors including Miss Aquarama and was a Miss Georgia World finalist. Fae was a soloist in Cartersville Civic Chorus. Fae also did volunteer work with the American Cancer Society, Girl Scouts and Kennestone Hospital. She was also a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Fae is preceded in death by her husband, Julian Irvin, parents, and brother, J. Wayne Cline.
She is survived by her daughters; Tammie Carroll Paige and Ria Carroll (Scott) Allen, grandchildren; Emma (Seth) Wilhoite, Lilly Paige and Lydia Allen, great grandsons; Ford and Grant Wilhoite, sister, Betty (Steve) Black, special nephews, Jeff and Eric (Kim) Black, special nieces, Lara Cline, Jena (Bryson Denison) Cline, and Holly Cline.
A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, December 23, 2019 at nine-thirty in the morning at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA. Serving as pallbearers will be: Charles Dirkes, Seth Wilhoite, Alex Reynolds, Jeff and Eric Black, Brad Paige, and Scott Allen.
