Mr. Jennings was born on May 11, 1946 and spent his childhood on Boliver Rd. in Rydal, GA. He was the son of the late Howard Franklin Jennings and Lille Mae Hart Jennings. He was a retired truck driver from HD Supply in Kennesaw, GA. He enjoyed hunting, using his sawmill and spending quality time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael William Jennings; brothers, Harvey Jennings, Walter Jennings and Carl Jennings; a sister, Pauline Burkes.
Survivors include his daughters and their spouses, Angie and Chuck Ellison, Brenda and Rocky Landers and Shelia and Jim Bryson and their mother, Margaret Stanley; grandchildren, Brittany and Derek Brown, Michael and Chelsea Cowart, Joshua Sherbert, Dakota Ellison, Christopher Pacheco, Harley and Brian Parker, Dora Moore, and Trey Moore; great-grandchildren, Delilah Brown, Gabriel Cowart, Mason Cowart, Brody Parker and Blaire Parker; sister-in-laws; several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 5th of September, 2019 in the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Brother Roland Nelson officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Wofford’s Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Brian Parker, Derek Brown, Chris Jennings, Bobby Jennings, Johnny Jennings, Jeff Baxter, Mark King, Bobby Cline and Dustin Mullinax.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation from seven o’clock in the evening until nine of Wednesday, the 4th of September, 2019 at Owen Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mr. Jennings honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
