Gary Austin Jefferson

Mr. Jefferson was born July 25, 1953 in Cartersville, Georgia, son of the late Clifford Austin Jefferson and Betty Godfrey Jefferson Hughes. He was associated with Bo’s Pallets for a number of years, attended Fairmount First Baptist Church and was a member of the C C Morgan Band. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Jefferson.

Survivors include his wife of 39 ½ years, Peggy Brannon Jefferson; a daughter, Garah Mashburn, and husband Floyd; grandchildren, Zachary Mashburn, Jordan Mashburn and Austin Mashburn.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday October 25th at 2:00 P.M. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steven Pearson and Rev. Richie Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. at Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Blake Brannon, Stanley Young, Charlie Thurman, Matt Chastain, Joe Morgan and Ricky Silvers.
