

Mr. Hatfield is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved canine companion, Nick.
Mr. Hatfield is survived by brothers, Hank (Dede) Hatfield, Hal (Suzanne) Hatfield and Hoyt (Susan)
Hatfield; special friend, Angie Harris; several nieces and nephews.
Harvey graduated with the Cartersville High School class of 1979. As a member of the “Hatfield Backfield”, Harvey still holds the scoring record for the Purple Hurricanes as a tailback and place kicker. He was a seventh-generation carpenter, avid cyclist, and daredevil. Harvey was featured in various publications for his cycling antics. He pursued the world record jumping trash cans and anything else he could arrange to jump over.
Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation at Owen Funeral Home on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from five o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening.
Family and friends are cordially invited to a graveside service on Friday, February 23, 2024 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Sunset Memory Gardens in Cartersville, Georgia.
