Herman Lee Evans

Mr. Evans was born August 13, 1934, in Rome, Georgia the son of the late Andrew Lee and Bessie Lucille (Towe) Evans, was retired from Bartow County and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Rachel Christine (Long) Evans, daughters, Nancy Whitener, Edna Dale Evans and a sister Linda Evans.

Surviving are his children, Jimmy and Annetta Evans of Adairsville, Darrell and Donna Evans, Danny Evans, Heather and Noel Diaz, all of Cartersville, 10 grandchildren, Tonya Smith, Jamie, Timothy and Jeremy Evans, Amiee and Kim Evans, Jason Evans, Elizabeth, Isabel and Isabella Diaz, a sister, Maxine Mullinax of Cartersville and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Pope and Rev. Donnie Whitener officiating.

Burial will follow in Cassville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
