James "Jim" Morley Sayers

Jim was a man of God. He served his country in the United States Army. After serving in the Army, Jim worked for Leppinks Super Market in Belding, MI, and attended Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music. After graduation, he became a preacher. Eventually Jim served as Pastor at Belding Church of Christ for many years. After retirement, he served as a preacher at Campsite Evangelism eventually becoming the organization's director. He was married to Margery Graham Sayers for 68 years before her passing. He loved his family, his Savior and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister, Ruth Spencer.

He is survived by his daughters; Jamie (John) Hayes, Julie (Jack) Smith, son, Randy (Wendy) Sayers, Grandchildren; Jennifer Jonker, Jillian Katsma, Jason Hayes, Jeremy Hayes, Tiffany Sayers, Miranda Cooper, Matthew Delph and Amanda Ellis. 16 Great grandchildren also survive to cherish Jim's memory.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday, July 26, 2019 at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton Georgia at one o'clock in the afternoon with military honors rendered.

The family will meet at Owen Funeral Home at 11:45 on Friday, July 26, 2019 to travel in procession to the cemetery.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted in Michigan at a later date.
