He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; sons, Grant and Corey, and daughter, Leah; father, Joseph Troupe (Donna); mother, Carolyn Stewart Troupe (Byron); brother, Jason Troupe (Sylina); father-in-law, Jeffrey Elbon, father-in-law Ron Gillespie (Katy); sister-in-law, Maegan Teems (Josh); brother-in-law, Brent Elbon; along with several nieces and nephews.
Jarrod graduated from Ringgold High School where he enjoyed playing catcher for the Tiger’s baseball team. After high school he played with the Chattanooga Men’s Baseball League. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan his entire life and wouldn’t go a day without saying “Go Dawgs” especially during football season. Jarrod was an incredible musician and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing with his family and friends. One of his favorite hobbies was going to concerts with Jennifer. He also enjoyed traveling with his family and visiting historical sites along the way.
Jarrod never met a stranger and stayed connected with many friends throughout his life, including his and Jennifer’s long time best friends Kevin & Allecia Lewis. When he moved to Cartersville with his family he began working at CKS Packaging with his father-in-law, Jeff Elbon. While at CKS Jarrod gained a wealth of knowledge and made many close friends that he remained in touch with over the years. He decided to make a career change 7 years ago and work alongside Jennifer at Towneclub Realty where he became a real-estate agent and most recently an associate broker. Jarrod flourished while working here and was fantastic at his job. Working at Towneclub allowed Jarrod and Jennifer to do and plan many exciting things.
He enjoyed coaching and watching his sons in baseball and football over the years and was grateful to guide them as young adults in succeeding at their new job. He was undeniably proud of the men they are turning out to be. Jarrod was incredibly smitten over his baby girl, Leah. He loved being a girl dad. Playing barbies, driving her to dance class, learning about the new fashion trends, watching her favorite movies was right up his alley. Jarrod passed his love of jamming out to classic rock to each of his children. His family was his world and he loved the life he and Jennifer worked hard to build.
Most importantly, Jarrod loved Jesus. He was saved as a young man and knew he was going to Heaven when it was his time to go. Although this time is very difficult for everyone who knew and loved Jarrod, we can rest easy knowing that he is looking down from Heaven.
Matthew 5:16 “ In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.”
