Jean Bridges Brown

Jean Bridges Brown, 69, of Cartersville, GA, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016. Jean was a lifelong resident of Cartersville, GA who enjoyed the Georgia Bulldogs, the water; fishing, skiing or boating. Jean made many friends over the years, graduating from Cartersville High School and working at The Family Savings, AM South in Summerville, Philadelphia Carpet Mill, First National Bank, Johnston Furniture Company and retired from Willis Realty.

Jean is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Johnny M. Brown; daughters; Kim Johnston Smith (Tommy) of Calhoun and Tara (William) Brant and son Kyle (Doreena) Brown. Grandchildren; Robby Johnston, Will and Henderson Brant and Valerie Brown. Jean is also survived by aunts Bonnie Butler and Barbara Cape both of Rome. Lifelong friends, Jerald and Doris Sargent of Gainesville, Ga. and Mary Ann and Jimmy Blackstock of Rome. Also surviving Mrs. Brown are numerous cousins and many dear friends.

Visitation for Jean Brown will be held at Owen Funeral Home, Saturday November 12, 2016 from one o’clock in the afternoon until three.

Services for Mrs. Brown will be conducted in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel at three in the afternoon, Saturday, November 12, 2016. Services will be officiated by Rev. Stephen Williams.
