Jerry Wayne Arnold

Mr. Arnold was born, September 2, 1947, in Dublin, Georgia, the son of the late, Needham Jackson, Sr. and Katie (Thompson) Arnold and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Needham J. Arnold, Jr.

Surviving is his wife, Gail M. Arnold of Cartersville, son and daughter in law, M. Shawn and Holly Arnold of Smyrna, Georgia, sister, Vera J. Barnett of Gray, Georgia, sister in law, Shirley Arnold of Macon, Georgia, nephew and his wife, Neil and Pam Arnold of McDonough, Georgia and other nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 23, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. in Newton Chapel at Mercer University, 1400 Coleman Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31207, with Rev. Maxie A. Threatt officiating.

The family will receive friends Sunday in the chapel from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service.

The family is grateful to receive flowers or, if preferred, a donation to the Mercer University Athletic Foundation in Jerry’s name.
