Jerry Maxine Edwards

Mrs. Jerry Davenport Edwards, age 73, of McDonough, GA passed away January 31, 2013. Mrs. Edwards was born in Calhoun, GA the daughter of the late Aldon Clay and Bessie Mae Gravitt Davenport. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Howard Davenport. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, gardening, and caring for animals. Survivors are her husband of 55 years, Paul Edwards of McDonough; children, Pat Nation (Danny) of McDonough, Sam Edwards (Sharon) of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Leah Jones (Clint) of Phoenix City, Al, Rebekah Nation of Atlanta, Jonathan Edwards of Stockbridge, Phillip Edwards of Bellevue, NE; great grandchildren, Anna and Olivia Jones; brother, Richard Davenport of Kingston, GA; sisters, Barbara Crumbley and Audrey Pickel both of Cartersville; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home in Cartersville on Sunday, February 3, 2013 – from 4-6:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Jack R. Edwards officiating.
