Jerry Lewis Floyd

Jerry was born December 20, 1954 in Cartersville, a son of the late Russell Thomas Floyd and Corene Fowler Floyd.

He was a member of the Atco Baptist Church and employed by the Good Shepherd Foundation. Jerry was a huge Cartersville Purple Hurricane fan and loved the Georgia Bulldogs. He was also a fan of NASCAR, with Dale Earnhardt, Jr., being his favorite driver.

Survivors include his sister and brother in law, Patricia (Pat) and Billy Davidson, of Canton, brother and sisiter-in-law Michael and Maria Floyd, of Cartersville, a sister in law, Faye Floyd, nephews, Roger and Andy Davidson, and a niece, Kim Floyd Lindsey, and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin and Charles Floyd.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 16, 2014 from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home, with Rev. Doug Harris and Randy Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Roger, Andy and Dusty Davidson, Rodney Martin, Joe Head and Andy Womack.

Honorary pallbearers will be Employees of the Good Shepherd Foundation.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. Saturday.
