Jerry David Huskins

Mr. Huskins was born August 27, 1937, in Bartow County the son of the late, Jim and Naomi (Gentry) Huskins, enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Bartow Bass Club and was a member of Open Bible Wesleyan Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Bud Huskins, a sister and brother in law, Sue and Slim Wehunt.

Surviving is his wife, Betty Jean (Whitener) Huskins of White, daughters and son in law, Don and Vickie Hilley and Tracy Owens, grandchildren, Brent and Christie Hilley, Brandon Owens, Amanda Phillips, Brett Owens and Brooke Owens, brothers and sisters, Bobby and Barbara Huskins of Cummings, Larry and Lynn Huskins of White, Dorothy and Robert Emerson of Rydal, Nancy and Dale Van Kyken of Acworth, sister in law, Helen Huskins of Calhoun and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Huskins and Rev. Doug Vernon officiating.

Burial will follow in White Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Brant Hilley, Brett Owens, Brandon Owens, Randall Brock, Phillip Huskins, and Daniel Vernon.

Honorary pallbearers will Clayton Collins, Dean Lewis and Harvey Heath.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
