Jerry Dee Moore

Mr. Moore was born on January 29, 1937 in Kingston, GA, son of the late Brooks Moore and Mittie Jones Moore.

Mr. Moore retired from Greenwood Mills after 45 years of dedicated employment. In his spare time, he enjoyed tending to his flower and vegetable gardens and putting puzzles together. Mr. Moore was of the Baptist faith and a proud member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Moore.

Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-one years and girlfriend since the first grade, Annie Lois Baker Moore; daughters, Jerrie Ann (DeWitt) Cochran and Donna (John) Woodward; grandson, Barry (Crystal Byrd and her son, Micah Byrd) Cochran; brothers, Howard (Barbara) Moore and Clayton (Syble) Moore; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday, February 4, 2018 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Harris and Rev. Rick Pearson officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Glenn Baker, Gary Baker, Bobby Chapman, Michael Moore, Tommy Ferguson and Johnny Worthington.

Honorary pallbearers are James Rush, Gary Rush, Craig Willis, Jeff Rosson, Marshall Worthington and Brannon Ferguson.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o'clock in the evening until eight on Saturday, the 3rd of February, 2018 at Owen Funeral Home.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial donations may be made in Mr. Moore's honor to the Alzheimer's Association or Macedonia Baptist Church.
