

Mr. Williams was born on April 23, 1949 in Cartersville, GA, son of the late Joe Lewis Williams, Jr. and Christine Sanford Williams.
Mr. Williams was a very simple and good hearted man that would help anyone around him in need. He graduated from North Clayton High School in College Park, GA and was later employed with Alcoa Manufacturing as a sheet metal worker. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lithia Springs. One of Mr. Williams’s favorite things was his old pick-up truck that he proudly drove all over town. His family knows that he has now gone on to meet his heavenly family where they are all fishing together again.
Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Thomas Williams.
Survivors include his sister, Nora Hendrix (Larry) of White, GA; brother, David Williams (Vicky Hanley) of Hiram, GA; sister-in-law, Linda Williams Carter of Douglasville, GA; uncle, Harvey Sanford (Ruby) of Hiawassee , GA; nieces, Tracey Heath, Karley Calloway and Angie Hendrix Castellanos; nephews, Chris Hendrix, Gibson Williams, Michael Causey and Coy Crockett.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Friday, June 19, 2015 in the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in Powder Springs Memorial Cemetery, Powder Springs, GA.
Visitation will be held from four o’clock in the afternoon until eight on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Owen Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are Chris Hendrix, Gibson Williams, Matthew Causey, David Wilkie, Keith Wilkie, and Clyde Barrett.
