Linda Diane Ray

Mrs. Ray was born August 16, 1964 in Bartow County, the daughter of Calvin Mashburn and the late, Bertie Mae (Whitener) Mashburn, was a C.N.A. at Starcrest of Cartersville and was of the Baptist faith.

She loved her job and taking care of people.

She is survived by her husband, James Ray of Rome, two children, Ryan Jeffrey Lee of Emerson, daughter, Maegan Renae DeBoard of Cartersville, her father, Calvin Mashburn of Rydal, sisters, Debbie Jean Logan of Cartersville, Donna Lynn Boswell of Euharlee, a number of nieces and nephews, including special niece, Melissa Leanne Rice and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Robert W. Ray and Rev. Hoyt Jones officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Rydal.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Larry Logan, Craig Duncan, Danny Lochridge, Trevan Rice, Daniel Vernon and Brian Morrison.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
