Lula Jane "Janie" Hames Miller

Mrs. Miller was born August 24, 1928 in Polk County, Georgia, daughter of the late Pressley Hames and Bessie Mae Dover Hames. She was retired from Cartersville Undergarment and was a member of Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church. Mrs. Miller loved her family and enjoyed gardening, quilting, canning and cooking. She was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Miller; a granddaughter, Rebecca Miller Greenway; brothers & sister, Cliff, Grady, Pearl, Zettie, Ella Mae, Lois, Edith, Carey, Fred, Henry, Ezra, Bertha, Bernice, Beatrice and Richard.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest Miller; children, Shirley (Jerry) Malone and Ronnie (Charlene) Miller; daughter-in-law, Linda Miller; grandchildren, Ernie Miller, Desiree Blalock, Chris Howren, Melissa Hawkins, Stella Williams, Ronda Tatum and Ron Miller; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Horace (Mildred) Hames; sisters, Frances (Perry) Chapman and Ann Ledbetter; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Hames; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon February 21st at 4:00 P.M. at Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. at Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Chris Howren, Ron Miller, Ernie Miller, Brent Tatum, John Williams, Kevin Marcera, Mike McFarland and Billy Ward and are asked to meet at the funeral home by 3:00 P.M. on Friday.
