Milton was born in Gainesville, GA, April 27, 1951. While still in high school, he earned both a ham radio operator license as well as his private pilot’s license. Eventually, job opportunities moved him to Atlanta, where he met his future wife, Pam; (their first date was an airplane ride!). Son Tim was born in 1981, and Milton began his ham repair business in 1988--resulting in lifelong friendships with many of his fellow ham operators. The family moved from Kennesaw to Cartersville in 1996. He attended the Salvation Army Corps in Cartersville.
Milton is survived by his wife (Pam), son (Tim) and daughter-in-law, Amy, brothers Phillip and Terry as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Luther will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Dr, Cartersville, Georgia 30120, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
