Mabel Lewis Jenkins

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sam Jenkins and daughter, Melinda Jenkins-Enriquez, who she will be laid to rest with. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Harold, Winfred, and Ted Lewis.

Surviving is her son, Sam B. Jenkins IV and daughter-in-love Cathy Reed, daughter-in-law Melissa “Missy” Jenkins, and grandchildren Sampson B. Jenkins V & wife Sierra Jenkins, and Emily Jenkins & fiancé Jake McCardel, as well as her siblings Doris Durden, Shirley Bailey, Carolyn ter Kuile, Rick Lewis and Glenn Lewis.

She proudly worked for and retired from Southern Bell the day her first grandchild was born. She was an avid gardener, loved cooking, but most of all loved being surrounded by her loved ones — family and chosen family alike, including her beloved next door neighbors Al & Darlene Miller.

A cremation memorial service will be conducted on March 28, 2024 at 11:30 am at Georgia National Cemetery.

Although Mabel loved flowers, in lieu of them, contributions may also be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
