Margie Rutledge

Mrs. Rutledge was born May 28, 1924 in Bartow County, a daughter of the late Fred Branton and Radar Fortenberry Branton.

She was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church, in Rydal, and a homemaker. Margie loved cooking Sunday dinner for her family, walking around the lake at her house and going to church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all.

Preceded in death by her husband, David Rutledge, she is survived by daughters and son in laws, Hellen and Mac Morgan, of White and Janie and Neal Evans, of Cartersville, sons and daughter in laws, Roy and Melissa Rutledge and Wayne and Teresa Rutledge, of White, grandchildren, Scott Morgan, Stacy Condon, Bryan and Cliff Evans, Donna Bazelman, Josh Evans, Steven and Carey Rutledge, Josh Ross, Kellie Melton and Mary Beth West, 22 great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mary Elrod, of White and Pauline Cain, of Marietta.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 6, 2013, from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home, with Rev. George Gray and Rev. Reggie Temples officiating. Interment will follow in the White cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 till 8:00 P.M. Tuesday.
