Marianne Lewis Forsyth

She was a 1995 graduate of Cartersville High School and a 1998 graduate of Berry College. She taught at White Elementary and most recently Mission Road Elementary. She was a 5th generation faithful member of Cartersville First Baptist Church where she served in many roles.

Marianne was fiercely loyal, strong, faithful, devoted, wise, sure spoken, firm and had that beautiful smile that could light up a room. She met the love of her life Alan at age 15. They married in 2000 and spent 31 years of adventure and love together. To say she was the divine definition of a Godly mother to JT and Andy is an understatement. She also loved pouring into the lives of young people both at church and school.

Marianne is preceded in death by her father, Leon Prince Lewis Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Alan Forsyth; children, JT and Andy Forsyth; mother, Paula Ponder Lewis; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 06, 2023 at Cartersville First Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Walker and Rev. Danny Barker officiating. The interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with Matt Glenn, Matt Averett, Colby Brazinski, Donnie Bagwell, Brent Lovett and Chad Forsyth serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 06, 2023 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Cartersville First Baptist Church 241 Douthit Ferry Rd Cartersville, GA.
