Marie Cline Palmer

Marie Cline Palmer, age 100 of Cartersville, GA, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. Marie was born on January 22, 1919 in Cartersville, GA, daughter to the late Walter Cline and Mamie Kay Cline. She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Josiah (Joe) Palmer, brothers; Louie Cline, Ellis Cline, Oscar Cline and Tommy Cline.

Marie is survived by her sons; Gary (Brenda) Palmer, Ernie (Gale) Palmer and Jimmy (Andi) Tilley, son of her heart. Grandchildren; Michelle Palmer Stone, Helen (Cliff) Evans, Andrew (Callie) Palmer, London (Hill) Mainor, Alexander Palmer, Mary Elizabeth ( Aaron) Zimmer, great grandchildren; Gavin Stone, Isaac Evans, Allison Evans, George Palmer, Hazel Palmer, Hiller Mainor, Lochlan Palmer and Finn Zimmer.

Marie worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 37 years. She was a lifetime member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She loved to travel and do new things. But above all she loved her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home, with Pastor Richard Poe officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens with Andrew Palmer, Alexander Palmer, Jimmy Tilley, Aaron Zimmer, Cliff Evans and Bill Rourke serving as pallbearers.
