This was a few years back. Mark and I went kayaking on sweetwater creek in austell. It was November and about every 10 minutes or so we had to drag our kayaks out of the water and traverse around fallen trees because of the flood in austell of 2009. At one point in our trip we had to go under a water main, and right before he got to the pipe I said "don't touch anything above your head" but his instinct took over and he put his hand on the pipe which made him immediately capsize. And any time he ever spoke of the trip he would always point out that I "made him go on a kayaking trip in the middle of november" and "the water was freezing". The trip took longer than we expected and by the time we found a place to get out both of our cell phones were dead so we had to walk in the cold dark for some distance (remember he was wet) before we came to a house. I went and knocked on the door and introduced myself and asked to use the phone, called my wife to come get us while Mark stayed as far away as he could while I embarrassed myself. We laughed about this trip for many years.
