Mary was a very well-known philanthropist and respected realtor in Bartow County for over 30 years winning many awards. She was a member of the Bartow Board of Realtors, Beta Sigma Phi and was heavily involved in the community, especially Habitat for Humanity. She was a life-long member of the Episcopal Church.
Mary was full of life, love and will be cherished forever by all who loved her. Mary was always giving of her time to others and went out of her way to lift up a hurting heart, always knowing what to say. She was compassionate beyond measure, thoughtful and kind to everyone she met. She enjoyed late night talks with her family and friends and loved to bake cakes to share. She loved animals, playing Bridge, NASCAR, watching movies, flowers, hummingbirds, traveling, camping, reading, catching up with old friends, praying for others, and shopping. Making her laugh was such a joy that will never be forgotten. Mary was so many things to so many people - strong, fierce, elegant, graceful, kind, funny… whatever you needed, she quickly picked up on that and found a way to meet that need. She was our SuperWoman – One of a kind. God broke the mold after he made her. She supported her children in all their activities and made sure they had a jumpstart on life, enrolling them at St. John’s Day School in Laurel, MS. She also supported them through the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, just to name a few.
