Michael was born on January 22, 1958, in Saudi Arabia, to Leada AbuShawareb and Hassan AbuShawareb. From his earliest days, he carried a strength of spirit, determination, and resilience that would shape the course of his life.
Michael proudly served in the United States Army as a Ranger, courageously parachuting from the sky in service to his country. His military service reflected his bravery, discipline, and deep commitment to something greater than himself. He lived with the same strength and honor that defined his time in uniform.
His dedication to excellence extended beyond the military. While living in Orangeburg, South Carolina, Michael earned the title of Mr. South Carolina in a bodybuilding competition — a remarkable achievement that demonstrated his extraordinary work ethic, perseverance, and physical and mental strength.
Above all, Michael was a father and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved children, Alayna AbuShawareb, Yousef AbuShawareb, and Alexis Brewer; his two grandchildren; and his mother, Leada AbuShawareb. He was preceded in death by his father, Hassan AbuShawareb. His strength will continue to live on through them.
Michael leaves behind a legacy of courage and resilience. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
