Michael "Mike" Eugene Mader Sr.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Peter Mader; mother, Opal Jaunita Brown; and brother, Marvin “Dean” Mader.

He is lovingly survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Blalock Mader; sons, Michael E. Mader Jr. (Tinamarie) and Christopher Mader (Leah); grandchildren, Emma Mader, Caden Mader, Camden Mader, Brenon Mader, Vincent Mastrarrigo, and Colbi Mastrarrigo; sisters, Jeannie Holland (Steve) and Cindy Reese; sisters-in-law, Lisha Mader, Frances Vaughn (Jim), Juliette Mercado, Patricia McIntire (Cleveland), Tina Kinncannon (Tommy); brothers-in-law, Charles Blalock (Leonna) and James Blalock Jr.; special friend, Belinda Hart and several nieces and nephews.

Mike had a passion for painting and proudly owned his own painting business. He enjoyed watching Atlanta Falcons football and Western movies. Known affectionately as “PawPaw” to his grandchildren, he cherished spending time with family. He also loved fishing and watching racing. Above all, the love of his life was his wife, Linda.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, GA 30120, with Bro. Ronnie Hudson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Lee Blalock, Luke Ruff, James Mullinax, Chuck Mercado, Roger Wynn, and Wendell Parker. Honorary pallbearers include Andrew Price and Steve Watson.
