Nathan Lee Autrey

Mr. Nathan Lee Autrey, 91, of Cartersville, GA went to be with his Savior on Thursday, September 10, 2020. Nathan was born in La Grange, GA on September 15, 1928 to the late Mr. Gene Autrey and Mrs. Maude Hester Autrey.

Nathan was an avid outdoorsman who loved to camp. He spent many vacations in the mountains with his family. Nathan had a very loving and kind soul and will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Captain Linda Dianne Autrey, grandson, Brian Autrey, grand daughter, Karen Autrey, daughter-in-law, Jackie Autrey and his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Mrs. Ruby Rogers Autrey, son, Gene Autrey, granddaughters; Tera (Calvin) Brooks and Casandra Abernathy. Ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren also survive to cherish Nathan's memory.

A Celebration of Nathan's life will be conducted in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home on Monday, September 14, 2020 at two o'clock in the afternoon with Rev. Mike Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow the service in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cartersville.

The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home on Sunday, September 13, 2020 from five o'clock in the evening until eight.
