Mrs. Nell Aycock Hailey

Nell Aycock Hailey, age 75 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on March 27, 2024 after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born in Athens, Georgia on December 27, 1948 to the late Hugh Dorsey and Pauline Aycock.

Mrs. Hailey attended and graduated from Athens High School. She was a devout member of Grace Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hailey is preceded in death by her daughter, Angela “Angie” Hailey; sisters, Ann Peters and Jane Veale.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Frederick “Freddy” Hailey; son, Curt Hailey; sisters, Elaine Saye and Betty Clark; granddaughters, Jessica Ramey, Brittiany Gray, Breanna Burton, Briley Hailey; great grandchildren, Jasper Ramey, DC Ramey, Brooks and Bristol Burton; nephews, Rob and Scott Rearden; very special friend and neighbor, Nancy Rozier; special brothers, Bob Rearden and Wade Saye.

Friends and family are cordially invited to a visitation on Monday, April 1, 2024 from eleven o’clock until twelve o’clock at Owen Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life service will follow the visitation on Monday at twelve o’clock in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home. The service will be live streamed on Owen Funeral Home's facebook page. The Rev. Paul Battles and Rev. Gary Brookshire will be officiating the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Rearden, Rob Rearden, Rickey Ledford, Randall Brock, Doug Raulston, and David Berrong.

A special thanks to Dr. David Kim and Transitions Hospice for the care provided to Mrs. Hailey.
