Patty Virginia Camp

Patty Virginia Camp, 81, of Cartersville, Georgia, formerly of Magnolia, Arkansas died April 9, 2016 at Tranquility Senior Living in Cartersville, Georgia. She was born May 27, 1934 in Magnolia, Arkansas to the late Frank and Mabel Hickman. Patty was a retired Registered Nurse, spending most her career working for the late Dr. Charles Kelly of Magnolia. She was a member of the Oakland Heights Baptist Church in Cartersville and a former member for 36 years of Central Baptist Church in Magnolia. She is preceded in death by her husband Sebren (Jack) Camp, parents, and sister Linda Dennis.

Patty is survived by three sons, Jeff Camp and wife Devona of Winfield, Illinois; Joe Camp and wife Catherine of Cartersville, Georgia; Eric Camp and husband Michael Hastings of Little Rock, Arkansas; and daughter, Pam Hilley and husband Paul of Cartersville, Georgia; three sisters, Ruth Hunt of Henderson, Texas; Sue Kimbell and Diane Issacs of Camden, Arkansas; and one brother, James Hickman and wife Sue of Comanche, Texas, nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 13, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at the Lewis Funeral Home of Magnolia. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Central Baptist Church Chapel with Brother Steve Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Pallbearers will be James Dees, James Madden, Bud Horne, Tommy Daily, David Hill, and Wayne Morrison.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Glenn Hittel and the Harbin Clinic, Coosa Valley Home Health, the staff of Tranquility Senior Living and Amedisys Hospice Care – all from Cartersville, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Central Baptist Church or to the Oakland Heights Baptist Church in Cartersville.
