Peggy S. Bradford, age 85 of Cartersville, GA made her heavenly journey Tuesday, January 25, 2022 to be reunited with her husband, Bill Bradford, her parents, Luther (Luke) and Louise Stewart, brothers-in-law, Larry Lanier and C.S Donahoo Jr.
Peggy was born on April 10, 1936 in Cartersville, GA and graduated from Cassville High School. She attended Truett McConnell College where she enjoyed cheerleading and earned her Business Degree. She spent her working career in various businesses with the majority at Sam Howell Hospital as a business office manager.
Peggy was an active member of her family, church and community. She and Bill enjoyed being surrounded by people. They were charter members of the Marco Sunday School Class, square dancers from 1980-1999, docents for the Booth Museum, delivery drivers for meals on wheels and supporters of the Scotts BBQ social club. Peggy’s greatest hobby was babysitting numerous children. She played a great part in the lives of her daughters, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She lovingly shared her cooking skills, her love of life, her silliness, her wisdom and most of all, herself with everyone.
Peggy leaves a legacy of love in the hearts and souls of her beloved family. Surviving are her daughters; Cheri (Tommy) Hayes of Rocky Mount, NC, Beth Bradford of Cartersville, GA, Pam (Johnny) Davis of Macon, GA, three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sisters, Anne Donahoo, Vicki Lanier; brothers, Luther P. (Peggy) Stewart, Tommy (Jeanette) Stewart; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to send a special thanks to their family and friends, Doctors M. Williams, Sidlow, Floyd Home Health Care and Affinis Hospice staff.
