

She was born April 28, 1941, in Cartersville, Georgia the daughter of the late,L.M. and Mattie (Bullock) Ferguson.
Peggy had a career in business after 20 years at Lockheed. She had a sharp business mind and influenced others with her decision making.
Peggy will be remembered for her loyalty to family, friends and love for animals. She enjoyed sports. She played basketball at Cartersville High School and was a member of the state Championship Team. She also excelled in golf and had won the Women’s Championship at the Cartersville Country Club. She served on the Cartersville Country Club Board of Directors.
She enjoyed travel with her family and friends. Her annual trips with her family and friends have made a world of memories for all.
She will always be remembered by her close group of friends especially those who were able to participate in her care during her short illness. The family would like to thank Sharon Camp, Delores Hatch, Paulette Holland, Shirley Long, Beth Mathison, and Debra Tatum. The family also wishes to acknowledge the loving care by her caregivers from Always Best Care Senior Services: Deborah Foster, Yvonne Martin, Kathy Smith, Katrina Smith, Tenette Waterford and Deborah Wells, as well as Camella Hospice staff.
Peggy is survived by her brother, Randall Ferguson of Dallas, nephews, Barry and his wife, Kim of Dallas, Darrell and his wife, Pam of Dallas, Tim ad his wife, LaVonne of Jonesboro, 5 great nephews and 2 great nieces, 1 great-great nephew and 3 great-great nieces and her beloved Chihuahua, Toby.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Belisle officiating.
Burial will follow in Hunt Cemetery in Dallas, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Pallbearers are Barry Ferguson, Darrell Ferguson, Tim Ferguson, Nick Ferguson, Cody Ferguson, Trent Ferguson and Chris Ferguson.
