It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Phillip Martin Maddox, who left us far too soon at the age of 22. Born and raised in Canton and Cartersville GA, Phillip recently embarked on a new chapter in Arkansas, bringing his warmth and joy to all who knew him.
Phillip is survived by his beloved life partner, Madison Hawkins; his mother, Shana Smith, and step-father, Shawn Smith; his father, Mickey Maddox, and step-mother, Becky Maddox; his brothers, Aubrey (Nicole) Maddox, Owen (Lucy) Maddox, Luke Culpepper, and Jordan Kinnett; sisters, Kayla Smith, Katie Smith, Samantha Kinnett, Lexie Kinnett, and Annie Culpepper; and his cherished grandparents, Janice Long, Margaret Maddox, Judy Blackburn, Jerome and Glenda Smith, Brian and Linda Smith; Great Grandmother, Harriet Smith, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; his beloved pets Remi, Toby and Maurice. He now joins his twin brother, Evan, in Heaven, where they are surely reunited in eternal peace.
Known for his goofy and fun-loving spirit, Phillip could bring light and laughter to every room with his comical dance moves. He had a deep love for the outdoors, often found fishing, kayaking, and hiking, embracing the beauty of nature with a joyful heart.
Phillip was a kind, loving, and generous soul. His warmth touched everyone he met, and his friends often sought his wise and trusted advice. He was a graduate of Bartow County Schools and a valued professional in the HVAC industry, where his dedication and hard work were deeply appreciated by his employer and colleagues.
In his final act of generosity, Phillip saved lives by donating his organs, a testament to his selfless nature. Though his time with us was brief, Phillip's impact was profound. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, love, and joy will live on in our hearts forever.
Rest easy, dear Phillip. You are now home with God in Heaven, always remembered and cherished.
