

Richard “Rich” Charles Marshall, age 74, passed away peacefully at home on August 19, 2021, in Cartersville, Georgia. Rich was born on February 11, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Thomas G. Marshall and Margaret Sprull Marshall.
In 1965, while working at W.T. Grants, Rich met the love of this life, Anne Thomas, on April 12, 1966, they married. Rich and Anne remained married for over fifty-five loving years before his passing.
Rich retired from a successful career in retail as a vice president for Home Depot in 2007 and then was a co-founder in the family handyman business. He was a highly respected leader by all around him and he thoroughly enjoyed what he did. He had incredible work ethics and was very dedicated to his job and it showed throughout his entire career.
After retiring, he liked to spend his time being a fulltime husband, father, grandfather (pop dude), and great grandfather (g pop). He also enjoyed visiting museums and relaxing on his boat on Lake Allatoona.
Along with his wife, of fifty-five years, Mrs. Anne Marshall, he is survived by sons, Thomas (Bobbie Jo) Marshall, Scott (Aileen) Marshall and Donald (Karen) Marshaller, sister, Sandra Marshall Ricci; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren to cherish his memory.
A funeral service to honor Mr. Richard Marshall will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 1:00pm at Savior of all Lutheran Church, Cartersville, Georgia, with Rev. Michael Zwemke officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation two hours prior to the service. He will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Sunset Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in honor of Mr. Rich Marshall.
