Robert was born on February 8, 1941, in Wilkinsburg, PA, Son of the late George C. Berry and Mary I. Murphy Berry
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1960-1965.
Some people live life to the fullest, some people are full of life. Robert George Berry did & was both. When he walked into a room, energy and purpose came in with him. The purpose was adventure & fun. He would tease, laugh and play as if there were no other things worth doing in that moment. Everyone he cared about got his best. Driven by the love of his wife, his family & his country, he embraced each day seeking to bring joy to those around him. He made you laugh and he laughed with you. It was impossible to spend time with him & not feel like you were the center of his attention. He liked adventure, travel (enjoying the anticipation & planning as much as the going). He loved his country and welcomed the chance to share his thoughts and opinions. He loved his wife & his daughters with all his heart. Whether you called him Bob, Dad, GrandPap, Papa or Pappy, you felt loved. You felt encouraged by him. You knew he believed in you, applauded you, cheered you on, defended you, fought for you and sat next to you & hurt with you when you needed him to. He leaves a legacy of grandkids that have carried & continue to carry his energy & service into their own families, neighborhoods, jobs, communities & also in service to their country. He leaves a legacy of great grandkids that he poured himself into. Grand kids that he was so very proud to see sprout & grow from the foundation of love, support and strong family ties he & his wife Sue built and maintained.
