Roberta Ann Fetzer

With broken hearts and deep love, we share the passing of our beloved mother, Roberta Ann Fetzer, who left this world on June 20th, 2025 surrounded by her family holding her hand. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on February 7, 1970 to David Anthony Ruch and Frances Nadean Edwards Ruch.

She is survived by her husband, Greg Fetzer; children, Ashly Fetzer (Marion), Renee Fetzer (Ross), Jessica Avery (Ryan), Hope Hardman (Gary); grandchildren, Bailey, Layla, Cali, Cora, Anders; niece, Rachel Ruch.

Roberta was the very definition of love, warmth, and kindness. She found joy in the simplest things—especially in caring for others. Whether she was watching over children or preparing a home-cooked meal, she did it all with a heart full of love and intention. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, where everyone felt welcome, and no one ever left hungry. Her life was a living example of what it means to be thoughtful, generous, and deeply nurturing.

She was a constant source of strength and compassion to everyone who knew her. Roberta gave her love freely and without hesitation, and her presence had a way of making people feel safe, seen, and cared for.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 22, 2025 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with David Tawney officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.

Though she may be gone from our sight, the love Roberta gave will live on in our hearts forever.
