Sarah Brandon Smith

Mrs. Smith was born December 27, 1923 in Bartow County, the daughter of the late, Claude S.,Sr. and Margie Brandon, was a retired rural letter carrier and homemaker and was a member of Brandon’s Chapel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howell L. Smith, brother, Claude Brandon, Jr. and children, Catherine Smith and Stanley Ben Smith.

Surviving are three sons, Claude L. and Karen Smith of Taylorsville, David H. and Jackie Smith of Stilesboro and Thomas A. and Elaine Smith of Cartersville, seven grandchildren, Scott Smith, John and Christina Smith, Paige and Levi Cagle, Lauren and Ty Lyle, Brittany and Philip McCarty, Sarah Smith and Will Smith, seven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 16, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. at Brandon Chapel with Rev. Scott Shephard officiating.

Burial will follow in Stilesboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 4:00-7:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Scott Smith, John Smith, Levi Cagle, Darrell Kay, Ty Lyle, Philip McCarty and Randy Pinson.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
