Shawn Lee "George" Evans

Shawn was born on August 16, 1981 in Belleville, IL, son of Steve and Karen Evans.

Shawn was an absolute outdoorsman who loved to fish, swim and ride his 4-wheeler. He was employed with Morgan Corporation in Rydal, GA, where he was a forklift driver in warehouse distribution.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, John H. Kettler and Louis Evans; grandmother, Alice M. Kettler.

He is survived by his parents; brothers, Timothy Evans (Jennifer) and Keith Evans (Julie Ballard); sister, Christina Evans Payne (Ryan); nieces and nephews, Louis, Brian, Timothy and Daniel Evans, Alyssa Evans and Kayleigh Ballard, Kaylee, Reid, Aniston and Zeaton Payne; uncles, Betty Nowak (Steve), Wayne Evans (Katherine) and James Kettler (Jill); grandmother, Alma Evans; grandmother, Alma Evans; numerous cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at four o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, January 3, 2015 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating.

Visitation will be held for three hours prior to service time at Owen Funeral Home.
