Simeon Lanier "Sim" Archer III

Mr. Archer was born December 9, 1936 in Rome, Georgia son of the late Simeon Lanier Archer, Jr. and Martha Jane Berry Archer. He spent most of his life in the carpet industry and for 13 years he was a Bailiff for the Bartow County Courthouse. He was a member of Sam Jones United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Warlick Archer; his children, Beth Kendricks and husband Roger, Julie Morrill and husband Mark, Simeon Lanier Archer IV and wife Amy; grandchildren, Jeff Doran and wife Anne, Jacob Doran, Jason Doran and wife Erin, Elizabeth Ray and husband Dan, Gregory Norris, Sim Archer, Bill Archer; great-grandchildren, Grace Olivia Doran, Noah Doran, Mary Margaret Doran, Riley Ray; brothers, Russell Archer and wife Daneise, Andy Archer and wife Julia, David Archer and wife Ellen; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be conducted Friday morning November 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Sam Jones United Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin Lobello officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday in the Fellowship Hall of Sam Jones United Methodist Church following the services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, The American Heart Fund or to Sam Jones United Methodist Church.
