OBITUARIO

Terry Lee Lindsey

13 octubre , 194421 febrero , 2021

Terry Lee Lindsey was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on October 13, 1944, to Beecher Frank and Eva Mae (Klepper) Lindsey. He completed his high school education in Clyde, North Carolina and graduated from Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. It was there that he met his wife of almost 56 years, Jean Peters Lindsey. Terry built a successful career in the aerospace industry, working for companies such as Goodyear, Loral and Meggit. His family eventually settled in Cedartown, Georgia. Terry was a fixture in the community there - always helping with youth and church activities, never missing a game or event for his kids, Steve Lindsey and Kathy (Lindsey) Mosley. Upon retirement, Terry and Jean found their piece of paradise on the lake. They spent many beautiful days on their houseboat at Lake Allatoona. Terry loved the water, whether it was kayaking, riding the Seadoo with the grandkids or just floating leisurely with friends from the dock, he was always present. His favorite time was watching the sunset with those he cared about. And those people number too many to count. Terry was an amazing husband, father, son, grandfather and friend. His reach was far but he was always close - always in the moment - always making those around him feel like that minute of time was the most important. He will be missed by so many.

Terry is survived by his mother, Eva Lindsey; his wife, Jean Peters Lindsey; sister, Sally Summey; brother Ernie (Melba) Lindsey; son Steve (Cynthia) Lindsey; daughter Kathy (Scott) Mosley; grandchildren Lauren Mosley, Morgan Lindsey, Andrew Lindsey and Kristen Mosley; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

It was a sad day when Terry passed. Terry was a good friend! Way before Steve and Cynthia we’re going together Terry and Jean were close friends . We jogged to gather, water skiing together play golf together and socialize together. Terry was unique. Terry organized the best Royal Ambassador program our church has ever had He was also an excellent deacon. He and Jean were sorely missed when you left Cedartown.

It seems like yesterday when we met Jean and Terry on the boat dock at Park Marina. Terry was climbing out of the below deck hold on FOXY LADY where he kept a hardware store of hard to find FIX IT ON THE SPOT parts and he had just what I needed. Terry even offered to come over and give me a hand figuring out how to patch up my old boat and he did not even know me . That is the memory we have of the Lindsey family, always helping everyone and doing it with a smile. To Jean and all the family, Janice and I will miss Terry but we have plenty of memories of rafting up on the lake and trips to Mexico to keep his memory alive many , many years. Even though the Captain is gone his spirit is there with his crew, and oh what a crew he has. See you where the sun touches the water .

I’m very very sorry to hear of passing of Terry-san.

Terry-san was loved by so many friends, colleagues and customers in Japan. He was loved by everyone who had an opportunity to meet and work with Terry-san.
He was such a caring person and very dedicated family man. When customer visits Rockmart to meet Terry, he would ‘always’ invite us to his famous HOUSE BOAT, top 3 biggest boat at the dock! Terry was very nice cook. He had a good teacher, Jean! He would love to cook BBQ for us..of course drinking was on the menu as well… When we had an opportunity to visit Japan in summer of 2008, we have such a wonderful time. Terry used to joke about playing golf in Japan(Very expense sport....), so we arrange such event during the trip. I have found a photo we took at a country club in Hiratsuka Japan… We had a such a wonderful play & time.

We send our deepest sympathy and condolence to you and your family. May rest in peace.
