Mrs. Amos was born April 13, 1941 in Lumbeton, N.C. daughter of the late Grady Chavis and Wessie Hunt Chavis.
To my beloved wife of 18 years Vereen, from her beloved husband, Raymond Amos. I spent my whole life loving you and pleasing you; I will spend eternity where I live pleasing you and loving you just to be with you.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Amos; children, Joe Anthony Chavis, Darrell Gooding, Eric Gooding, Sherry Gooding, Cymanthia Crowley, David and Willie.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 25th at 1:00 P.M. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Owen Funeral Home.
