Mrs. Viola Moore Waldrop, age 91, of Conley, GA., passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016. Mrs. Waldrop was born on April 25, 1925 in Kingston, GA., a daughter of the late Fred M. Moore and Katie Hall Moore.
Mrs. Waldrop worked up until she was eighty nine years old for Job Master Corporation, retiring in June of 2014, after thirty four years of employment. In her spare time she enjoyed, shopping, spending time with family and friends, and eating, especially chocolate cake. If you knew Mrs. Waldrop there were two things about her that stood out above everything else, her love for Jesus and her love for her beloved late husband of over fifty years, Rev. L.E. Waldrop. Her dedication as a preacher’s wife and Christian was certainly unwavering throughout her life. The word of God was very special to her, reading it daily, and sharing the plan of salvation with anyone she could. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Peoples Baptist Church. Mrs. Waldrop was a devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend; she will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Waldrop is preceded in death by her husband Rev. L.E. Waldrop; two sisters, Bonnie A Moore Perry, and Rena Tate; six brothers, Alfred Moore, Doc Tanner Moore, Ben Moore, Carey Moore, Gordon L. Moore, and J.F. Moore (Bud).
