I had many fond memories of Chris - one that comes to mind very clearly is how much he loved the song     ‘Don’t lose my number’  (Billy) by Phil Collins.
 Chris played this song often in his red corvette. When I heard this song many years later, Chris always came to my mind. 
This was his song.
He was the coolest guy in high school. 
I am deeply saddened by his passing. My deepest sympathies ❤️

Oh Chris you will be missed! We spent so many hours waiting for and watching our kids do what they love!!! There’s nothing better! You and Rhonda have the greatest kids, so kind and considerate! What a testament to you both! Our hearts are broken for all of you and we’re sending Love and prayers from Virginia!!!

Just want to say I just love you all.  Praying endlessly for all to have peace in your hearts and minds. May you  always think of his laughter and encouragement. There is no way to write in a few paragraphs what my friendship with Chris was like. From little league until today, a span of over 40 years, he was a constant. I could fill pages with stories and laughter. Tennis tournaments, baseball games, beach trips, double dates, bowling leagues and casino trips turned into hanging out at kids events and talking in the car pool line. Some jokes or stories only a few people would understand, and those are probably the best ones. Even in bad or sad times for one of us, he would try to find the silver lining. He was optimistic and generous, even as a kid. Several times over the recent years I told him that I owed him more than I could ever repay, for all he had done for me over the years, for being a friend. He would always answer "I'm pretty sure we're even." 

As Howard has already pointed out, most of our conversations over the past 20 years have centered around family, whether it be his or mine. He was so proud of Rhonda and the kids, but he was just as quick to praise mine. He was always quick with a "congratulations" call or text if he saw or heard something good about me or my family. But is wasn't just Rhonda's or the kids successes (which there are plenty!) that made him proud, it was the effort they all put in. He was so proud of Rhonda as a mother and a teacher. Being married to a teacher also, we talked about that a lot. I know his kids don't know me other than a casual hello, but I feel like I know them well from how much he talked about them. Rhonda, Brady, Brice, Abbey and Colby, he loved you more than I can say.  I hope you always remember the good times you had with him. I know I will.

Chris always seemed to have an soft spot for others in need. I spent many days at Chris' facilities in Cartersville and Shelbyville either working or just hanging out. I cannot count the number of times he helped someone in need, including myself. It did not matter if you were feeling down and only needed a laugh to get back going or him wanting to help coach you through something he could tell you were having a hard time with. Wish I was not so distant in the later years. Rest easy though, hope to see you on the other side one day again. 

I have so many memories of Chris We know each other for years he was truly a sweet man and always laughing at work and always had a joke to say I remember when I was bowling he always had something helpful to say about my bow I remember our great talks I also remember when he met his wife and how much in love he was with her and when he had his kids he will truly be missed I am so sorry for Yawls loss and he will truly be  missed  sincerely Amanda Edwards

Chris was my best friend growing up. We did everything together. His family was like my family. His dad bought us countless meals, and took us on summer trips together. Sam also made sure that Chris and I got to play on the same little league team together. Some of my best memories as a kid were playing basketball, whiffle ball or video games at the Craig house on Plymouth Drive. 
As a teenager, Chris was the coolest kid around. He drove a Corvette at 15 years old and we thought we were "the stuff". Chris was the best athlete of our friend group. He could play anything with a ball and play it better than most kids.
After high school, we drifted apart, but re-connected as adults after we both had kids. We talked every week, usually about each other's kids and their sports teams. He knew everything about my kids and I felt like I knew everything about his. He didn't call me the week he died, but I know it was because he knew my son Hank was in a hitting slump and didn't want to ask about a negative thing. That's just the kind of person he was. 
Chris was kind, generous, friendly, courteous, very smart and fun to be around.
Although we had many great times together as kids and teenagers, I think what I will remember most about him, is how much he loved his wife and kids. He talked about them all the time, but not in  a bragging way. Everything he did as an adult was centered around his family's best interest. I hope I can be more like that as a dad.
I will miss him like a brother, because until I was 18 years old, we were like brothers. 
To Rhonda and the kids, please know you meant the world to him. He surely loved you and talked about you all the time.

To Wanda, Carey and Camey, thank you for sharing Chris with me. I will always carry you and your family in my memories.
