

William Christopher “Chris” Craig, age 53 of Cartersville, GA passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. He was born in Rome, GA on December 22, 1968, to Wanda Cline Weichman and the late Samuel McCamey Craig.
Chris is survived by his wife, Rhonda Craig; daughter, Abbey Craig; sons, Brady, Brice and Colby Craig; sister, Camey Gardner (Mike); brother, Cary Craig; mother and father-in-law, Kay and Randy Chatman; brother-in-law, Jerry Chatman (Molly); nephews, Jay Chatman and Noah Gardner; nieces, Kelley Likens, Brittany Chatman and Claudia Chatman; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Chris was preceded in death by his father and two nieces, Amanda Chatman and Maggie Chatman. Chris also leaves behind his fur babies, Reggie and Dolly Mae, that brought him much love, laughter, and companionship.
Chris was married to his soulmate, Rhonda, for 22 years. They together devoted every minute of their lives to their four children. Chris’s family was the most important part of his life. Watching them play sports and excel academically brought him his greatest pride and joy. Above all, Chris was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, and friend to all. His departure leaves a big hole in the lives of so many family members and friends, and his constant laughter will be greatly missed.
Chris lived most of his life in Cartersville and graduated from Cartersville High School in 1987. He remained a devoted Hurricane fan with a love for all sports. He avidly followed the Canes throughout every season. Especially, when it came to supporting his children and their friends in their pursuit of success in athletics. Chris owned and operated The Cartersville Bowling Center with his family, and he and his family also own and operate Shelbyville Lanes in Shelbyville, TN. He was also a diehard University of Tennessee and Dallas Cowboys fan.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 26, 2022, in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Keith Crews, minister at West Cartersville Church of Christ officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
