William Edwin Griffith Jr.

Mr. Griffith was born October 28, 1933 in Jefferson, South Carolina, the son of the late, William Edwin, Sr. and Ora Mae (Herlong) Griffith. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict, was a retired Photographer, was a member of the Macedonia Masonic Lodge in Jefferson, South Carolina and was of the Methodist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Griffith.

Surviving is his wife, Carolyn (Godbey) Griffith of Cartersville, children, Phyllis Griffith of Cartersville, Rana Sass (Brian) of Roanoke, Virginia, Dale Griffith (Connie) of North Chesterfield, Virginia, Shelley Evans (Gary) of Rydal, Georgia, Mark Shaw (Teri) of Lincoln, Nebraska, Bryan Shaw (Tina) of Akron, Ohio, sixteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brother, Robert Griffith (Bett) of Chesterfield, South Carolina, sister in law, Gretel Griffith of Apex, North Carolina, a niece and two nephews.

A Military graveside will be held at a later day and time at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
