The Rev. William Broughton (Billy) Howell

Rev. Howell was born July 28, 1926 in Piedmont, Alabama, the son of the late Walter Marvin and Myrtle (Amerson) Howell, was a member of the Southern Conference of United Methodist Church and attended Trinity United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Anna Lenora Williamson, a sister, Mary Reeves and two brothers, Marvin Howell and James Howell.

Surviving is his son and daughter in law, Jack and Sandra Howell of Cartersville, grandsons, Nolan Howell and his wife Lori of Shang Hai China, Nathan Howell of Cartersville, Neal Howell and his wife Leslie of Cartersville, four great-grandchildren, a brother Charles Howell and his wife Jean of Piedmont, Alabama and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. K. Ray Looney officiating.

Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Nolan Howell, Nathan Howell and Neal Howell, great grandson, Kyler Howell and Tom Deems and Gerald Ray.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
