William Earl Story

Mr. William Earl Story, 83, of Lindsey Drive, Cartersville, Ga passed away Saturday February 18, 2017. Mr. Story was a member of The Church of God of the Union Assembly. Mr. Story worked for many years for Shaw Industries and retired as supervisor.He was a loving and caring father. He was loved and respected by many. He will be greatly missed.

Mr. Story is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Joseph Franklin Story Sr. and Mrs. Fannie Groce Story of Acworth, GA., brothers, Joseph Frankllin Story Jr. and James Harold "Chuck" Story.

Mr. Story is Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mrs. Lousie Haygood Story, daughters: Wanda(Bobby) Ross of Cartersville, Deborah (Hugh) Abernathy of Cartersville, Melissa (Donald Jr.) Tanner of Rome, Autumn (Ralph) Amos of Adairsville, sons; William David Story, Charles Timothy (Lakita) Story. Brothers, Robert Charles "Bobby" ( Betty Ann)Story and Jerry Lamar (Shelia) Story. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, February 20 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel. Serving as pallbearers will be: Derrick Story, Trey Tanner, Jared Tanner, Brandon Abernathy, Allen Ross and Jesse Haygood. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Willy “Bud” Haygood and Walter Thomas “Tommy” Haygood. The family will receive friends from six until nine o’clock in the evening Sunday, February 19 at Owen Funeral Home, Cartersville.
