

Mr. Cha was born February 16, 1930 in Suwon, Korea a son of the late Judam Cha and Youngsoon Hong.
Allan was a retired textile chemist. He came to the United States after the Korean War to study textiles. Allan graduated from Textile College of Seoul National University and also the Department of Textile Chemistry at North Carolina State University. He worked with American Cyanamide and then with United Merchants Company (textile finishing division). Allan then return to Korea to help start a polyester company (a division of Sam Yang Sa). He then finally retired from the industry to become a small business owner. Mr. Cha was very hard working and he tried to recover some of his family fortunes that were lost during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Moonyoung Cha and Wonyoung Cha; sisters, Booyoung Cha, and Heeyoung Cha.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Young Cha; his daughter, Irene Cha; his son, Eugene Cha; and his sister, Hyunyoung Cha.
