

Carl Thomas Bevill Jr, 80, died October 29, 2015. He was born in Cairo, IL on November 28, 1934 to Carl Thomas and Mary Lally Bevill. He attended Southern Illinois University. He worked his entire professional career with Moore Business Forms. He began as a salesman and retired as a regional sales manager. His work took the family from Jackson TN, Memphis TN, Jackson MS, Raleigh NC, Winston-Salem NC and Houston TX before returning to Cary NC. Tom was a devout and active member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Cary. He was a dedicated husband and father and devoted many years to the caregiving of his wife Jeanne. He was very involved in the Alzheimer’s Association and always looked for an opportunity to help others. He was an avid bridge player and a diehard Duke Basketball fan.
In addition to his parents, Carl Thomas and Mary Lally Bevill, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jeanne Bevill; son, George Lally Bevill; and sister Jane Dawson.
He is survived by his son, Dr. C. Thomas Bevill III and his wife, Mary Jane of Cartersville, GA; daughters, Claire Denham and husband, Dean of Apex and Ellen Nitz of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sisters Carlene Dannenmueller of Paducah, KY and Pat Palazzola of St. Louis, MO; sister-in-law Joyce Rolwing; nine grandchildren, Amanda McClung (Will), Megan Bevill, Ben Bevill (Shannon), Catie Nitz, Peter Nitz, Molly Nitz, Chris Nitz, David Nitz and Sam Denham; four great-grandchildren, Lucy and Jude McClung, and Wylie and Avery Bevill.
A memorial mass will be held Friday, November 6, 2015 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 804 High House Road, Cary at 11:30am. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
